Engine tick back in full swing comparrison videos
Heres a video I made a year ago prior to replacing the factory thermostat. Highlighting the engine ticking.
November 2014 engine tick returns after doing an engine flush. TD5 180 thermostat and coolant has been replaced along with throttle body heater plate. Shell Rotella 15w-40 oil.

Wish i took a video before the ticking returned.... anyways what do you guys think now? I know some of you have endured the annoying tick for a couple years now with no major issues, but then again most of you guys probably dont take your D2 on cross country road trips either. Naturally Im concerned weather she will make it to Alaska in one piece.

By engine flush I mean the bottle labeled "engine flush". Pour it in with your old engine oil, idle the truck for 10 minutes, shut off and let cool down then drain oil and replace with clean oil. Thats what I did.
I've heard people complaining of noise after an engine flush. Never had 1st hand experience. Just a guess but maybe less gunk to quite yo junk.
As in possibly exaggerating valve train noise, if you had a heavily sludged engine.
Even some info on it lowering pressure
