Fortunately, I have two of the old 7.3L's now, and they are ROCK solid. Tow anything, get 22mpg if you drive them right, and with a few mods, will really surprise the ***** in the BMW on the highway....(It's atlanta - they can't help it)
My diesel guy does a lot with fleets and ambulance, and I get to see how bad those newer ones are. I almost bought one of the 6.0's, and am really glad I didn't. They are the communism of diesels - design looks great on paper.
I love the cummins 12v, only problem is that its mounted in a dodge......family member has one, and that truck is a POS, but that motor, man, they knocked it outta the park.
and Savannah - that is one awesome deal you got there! I'm going to keep an eye on that site.
