Default Excessive cabin heating

Hi there from Poland! I am the owner of a 2004 Disco II. Since a couple of months I have experienced excessive cabin temperature while driving. It is winter time here in Poland now but even on frosty days it is becoming very hot in the cabin. Adjusting temperature on the panel does not help much. Actually I have to keep it at the lowest level (16 grade Celsius) for the inside temperature to be bearable. Switching the eco button on or off does not change much.

What could be the reason for that problem? What should I do? I have searched for answer in internet but could not find one. This forum is my last resort Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately LR didn't install a heater control valve in D2's.
you can install one under the hood in the heater hose, hundreds for sale on eBay you just have to pick one you think would work.

you can turn the heat down as low as you wish, there is no valve to keep the heat from entering the heater core. LR answer is to just let the AC cool it off the hot air, but by locking the compressor out using the ECON. button you are bypassing there system.

Good no faults found but doesn't help you much. Possibilities include controller and blending motor/flaps. Replacing the controller is supposed to be easy and may be inexpensive if a used one available to try. Otherwise you may be looking at the heater assembly as cause, may not be an easy fix and doing a HCV modification could be an option.
