Default Exhaust Manifold stripped thread in left head

Hey guys,

So I'm doing a head gasket job on my 01 discovery... things have been going relatively smooth until after putting the exhaust manifold on the left head I realized a couple of bolts were stripped (or so I thought). No big deal i ordered some new bolts and a fresh gasket and when I took the manifold back off realized that 3 out of the 8 bolts basically ripped the thread off the head. I thought i was doing things carefully and lining them up correctly but i guess not? Anyways I figured i'd pitch it here and see what you all think. As far as i understand my options are:
1. Get a new head... ($$$)
2. Get helicoil kits (for all three threads? and whats to say i don't make the same mistake with the other ones putting it back on?)?
3. Push the disco down a hill.

I'm kind of stuck here and maybe I feel like giving up because i've been working on it all day but i'm going to try and clear my head and see if there is anything out there i don't know about.

Much appreciated

Andrew

Well just did some more research and realized i wasn't being careful enough in putting the manifold on... and i should have asked for a hand from a friend... lesson learned. I guess the question still stands will i be okay tapping multiple holes? On two of the holes it took out a good bit...
