Exhaust Stud/Bolt/Gasket Question
While doing my starter I noticed that one of the studs and bolts had disappeared. Can I just replace the stud and bolt or should I do a new gasket, it is less than a year old.
If it were me (god help you) I would replace the whole or the affected part of the exhaust gasket. The old one will be flatted or misshapen. Check the manifold to see whether it's distorted (curved) and if so, have it skimmed/milled flat.
If you have to replace the gasket, make sure to marinate the stud in PB Blaster. It will make your removal much easier. Impact wrench with a long extension did me good. Exhaust parts in front is easy as long as you PB blaster it for a while. Forget about the rear, you need to cut the bolts.

Since the gasket was done very recently I put in a stud, which luckily threaded, and the locking nut. Screwed it in from above, then started the nut, got underneath and tightened it up with an impact gun, and a few extensions with a swivel. It's not to be torqued on too hard, 24 ft/lbs if memory served so I did not go nuts.
I'll have to listen for the tick, and inspect it here and there, I have not been hearing any tick, so hopefully this will take care of it.
