Default Exhaust tips (ideas)

I have a 95 disco and the rear muffler(?) is completely rusted through, I am going to have to replace it soon. I was thinking of putting a magnaflow pipe in its spot but dont know if that would make the truck a whole lot louder (not good with a 10 week old boy).
I am open for ideas, I just want something that will work well and possible give me a little more HP.
thanks

if you just replaced the muffler and left the resonator in place i think you are looking at minimal added sound. i was thinking of swapping my muffler for a magnaflow or something and leaving the resonator. just want a bit deeper tone. i dont want it to sound like a small block with mammoth flowmasters,,, just a wee bit gruntier

Nothing will give you any more horse power, at least none that matters, cut the resonator off and just have a muffler add a short extension.
