Default Expansion Tank Recommendations for an '04

I have a small leak in my expansion tank and need to replace it. The OEM part is PCF101410 and goes for anywhere from $100 to $300. I have seen non-OEM tanks for considerably less money. I have also heard that any DII expansion tank should work (the PCF101410 is specified for only 2003-2004).

Any recommendations on a cheaper replacement? Is it really true that any DII expansion tank will work for my 2004 Disco?

The 99-02 tank will work. I've seen an aftermarket for $39 on rock auto, but the one person I've seem comment on it said it wouldn't last.... not sure.

I think I'd give it a try anyway.

jafir -- thanks for the recommendation. I bought the rockauto.com URO ESR2935 tank for a 2002 Disco and installed it last night. It fits perfectly and seems to be of good quality.

So the case seems to be that a PCF101410 is the same as a ESR2935 tank.

If you didn't do it, replace the cap and t/stat also, using the 180 soft spring t/stat for better cooling.
