Default Extinct mod running 170 thermostat

It is simple question for those running 170 thermostat what are your normal running temps. I am thinking this is a good idea for me in the summer, with a switch in the fall.
I do a lot of low speed (speedo does not register) off roading up very steep hills, I would like to keep my temps as low as possible without throwing codes. Currently with the TD5 thermostat I can hit 206-210. While this is not an issue it would be nice to keep under 200 if possible.
With my black TD5 thermostat in cold weather I ran 176 to 183 with no codes.

with the 180 I run 175-195
once it gets to 195 it drops right down to 175
even after a 40 min to work highway run it’s 180 -185
idle 180 steady

30 Celsius weather

I run 170's in both my 00's. Hold thermostat temperature until ambient exceeds about 80, then runs ambient plus 100.

Mine runs cooler at idle and lower speeds vs highway and then it hardly ever breaks 195. Like Extinct says it runs about 100 deg over ambient at its hottest. I have the 180. I would think low speed off road in BC it should be fine.

No, 180. 03 and up will throw a code with a 170.
