Default Facelift headlights on 99-02

I know there are those that prefer the 99-02 headlights over the facelift ones, normally I agree with those people. However the ability to retro fit the facelift housings with HID projectors throws that out the window (properly aimed way higher light output and light cut off out weigh the sturdiness of the 99-02 housings).

That being said has anyone documented how to swap the 03/04 housings into a 99-02? I found one guide from 2004 and was wondering if anyone had done it more recently, I don't care about the electrical portion of this swap as I've got that planned out.

photo for attention (pardon the hazy lens I don't plan on finishing polishing the lens until vehicle is ready for final install)

I slapped in some AuxBeam Eagle LED bulbs and I am very impressed. Perfect cut off, no glare, and true Hi/Lo beam function.

These are NOT your 10-20.00 ebay wonders!

Yep I know there are options however I'm relatively certain that this set up will be far superior from my experience with other projector retrofit projects.

I bought these on your suggestion and can confirm they work great. Tons of light that outperforms a lot of the cars on the road. Didn't realize how bad the OEM ones were with stock bulbs.

Good luck with the projector project - I'm sure it'll be even better (albeit a lot more work).
