hi all new to this forum hope someone has got a idea to this problem
before i torch the vehicle lol
new fan belt simple job ,,,, vis fan off , tensioner cranked out of the way and zip tied, old belt slipped off, new belt too small , oO, check info for vehicle no air no ace part no psq 101490 tried again half hour later snapped belt, tried always ,new belt was 171.5 cm old belt that came off is 176.5 has old belt stretched 5 cm ? cant find one in parts cat that size ,there is marks on crank pulley and vis fan (td5) looks like second hand parts ? help please

Derp. This is a tough one. Maybe you need to pre stretch the belt somehow. Put the belt on a small tree branch, and stand under it and stack bricks in the middle of the loop. When you get out of the hospital you can drive it to a mechanic to put the right length belt on it.

 

hi drowssap prob solved had a look at mates d2 same set up no ac/ no ace the right hand bearing carrier had 2 centimeter shims other d2 did not ,hooked them out and belt fitted sweet why they was there dont know only can think bodger at work, looked like they been there a long time ,
didnt try rovermastertechs bodge the derp? comment put me off lol
