Fault 33 P1884
Hey All,
Just got a 2004 Discovery 2 and drove it 1100 miles to get it home. Along the way it began to idle rough but once you got on the gas it ran fine. Few hundred miles into the trip, I stopped overnight and when I went to get back on the road, the service engine light was on when I started it up. P0300 code, coupled with the P0301 and P0306. Random misfires on cyl 1 and 6. Did some research and figured it could be a bad coil pack. Got back on the road and when I hit some sort of civilization, I took it to a shop. The looked at it and confirmed the code and said it was a weak spark. Didn't want to pay the 1300 dollar bill for coil pack, plugs and wires, plus a days layover so I kept driving. As I was driving, after a fil up, I noticed the Service Engine light was gone. Was still idling rough when stopped in traffic but got me home while doing about 70 the whole way.
Just hooked up the code reader again and now there are no P0300, P0301 or P0306 codes showing at all ( and I drove nearly 1k miles) but I have the P1884 code now and nothing else. Could that be related to the P0300 issue? Any advice? Going to take it to a shop but want to have some insight before they possibly try to take me to the cleaners.
Thanks in advance.

I am having a similar issues with Code 1884 on my 2000 Discovery. M & S lights flashing and the engine is running extremely rich. I also have PO122, PO175, PO 172 and 11_05. Just a little history, I went in and pull the intake manifold to change valve cover gaskets. I figured while I was in that far I would change the coil packs, plug wires and plugs. I have 116,000 miles on the vehicle. Plugged my Nanocom in and cylinder's 2,3,5,8 are running rough: 4.3 and jumps around. never had that problem before, so I thought maybe I got the upper intake gasket off position and air was pulling over into the cyclyders so I pulled it again, replaced gasket and was watchful on how I torqued it down. Didn't help. Replaced my MAF sensor. Put a new battery in it. M & S still flashing and no power limp mode. Replaced transmission fluid and filter. All CO2 sensors are new. You can smell pue gas out the muffler. I don't believe I got any wires crossed, but with 4 cylinders rough, can't wrap my mind around it.
