A few questions...radio, jack, etc.
I found the jack in my 2001 Disco, but no jack handle or lug wrench... are they hidden in some special place, or am I just missing them?
As for the radio, I'm looking at aftermarket units, but I don't know if I have the "premium Harman Kardon" setup or not. I do have 12 speakers, the CD changer, and a head unit that, judging by pictures on the web, is OEM but is an Alpine unit. Not sure why it's important whether or not the stereo is the Harman Kardon or not, maybe because it has an external amplifier?
Finally, are there footwell or courtesy lights somewhere that I haven't noticed? Was changing out some bulbs with LEDs and most places advertise courtesy lights - I sure don't see any in my truck.
Thanks!

Yeah if your wheels have not been removed in a while, breaker bar is the way to go. You need one anyone in your tool box. It's a good tool to have and something you will use a lot.
What is wrong with your radio? If it were me and it was not working I would hit up Ebay, find a legit store/seller and buy a replacment for 100 bucks. Just plug and play that way. Easy.
Also to remove the radio head over to AB and buy the 9 dollar removal tool. It's worth every penny. Radio comes right out with the tool.

Check under your drivers seat for an amp. Also, if you have the HK system, the speakers will say so. The easiest one to check is in the A pillar. I have the "Hi Line" system with 12 speakers and the headphone jacks in the back, but my speakers are Philips. I just replaced my radio for the same reason as you...ipod, satellite, etc. It was an easy install with the right adapter. The sound is a little "tinty" running through the stock amp, but at least I have my Hair Nation!
