Thank you for this.
I have emailed Bearmach, and I want my money back.
I need to program keys, and that is one of the main reasons I chose the Hawkeye.
I will be buying a Nanocomm.
Thank you

This kind bloke seems to be willing to decode your remote key fob so that you can reprogram it via nanocom et al to your Disco 2: Mini Cooper 2002-2005 key fob decoding service, please read | eBay

This is the Disco 2 key fob radio receiver: Land Rover Discovery 2 Receiver Radio Remote Keyless Entry YWY000090 315Mhz | eBay

and this is the 2002 to 2006 Mini Cooper key fob radio receiver: 02-06 MINI COOPER RADIO REMOTE CONTROL MODULE OEM 6923269 | eBay

I think there is a strong chance that these key fobs and receivers are interchangeable!

Hmmm... this is showing 433MHZ instead of 315 MHZ: http://www.car-keys-online.com/produ...emote-key.html

OK, apparently someone knows how to make existing Disco remote key fobs work without a scan tool if you switch out the Remote Receiver that is next to your sunroof buttons above your headliner:

I am a Master Tech and will include a tip to reactivate your remote key fobs without the use of scan tools or dealer assistance! If your factory key fob(s) stopped working for what seems to be no apparent reason, but still light up, this tip can help you get them working again easily, usually in a matter of minutes!

This is only one if you have a remote that was previously coded to your BECM.

there is no way to code an additional non original remote to your vehicle without a capable scan tool.

Can a used Disco 2 key fob from a scrapped truck be reprogrammed for a different/working Disco 2 if you have the right scan tool?

Yes. You'll need the key's id code though.
