all the ones you can buy seem so expensive. I want to try to make my own.... i just need some good pictures.

 

I'm sure it was an install issue, but the bad behavior did get a little better after re-doing the rear diff oil but after reading up more on detroits I decided that having an air-locker (rear) would better suit my needs, most of my driving is much much happer with an open diff, especially on loose snow and ice. The clicking and clunking was also driving me nuts. I was able to exchange the detroit for the ARB so I'm happy. I'll likely also add a 5l tank to the system so I can air up too, I know using the ARB compressor excessively for airing up tends to overhead and wear them out but having a bigger storage tank should eliminate that issue. Looking at rear drawer systems now, with room for hiding the amp, compressor, a water tank, etc.
