Default Finished CDL install in a 2000 D2 [Pictures]

Finally finished my CDL install after a nightmare situation trying to find the selector metal piece. I bought the CDL off craigslist and realized I was missing the selector bracket that attaches onto the transfer case nipple. I should have fabbed it myself but found a shop in Poland that sold it separately. It took 2 MONTHS TO ARRIVE.

I ended up busting some of the plastic on the window switch plate, now I have to figure out what to do about that.

Here are some pictures:

Been wanting to do this for a while but really not pumped about ACTUALLY doing it. How many hours ( minus 2 months shipping ) did it take you? I'm no noob but not exactly thrilled with the prospect of digging into this one.

It took me (minus 2 months) about 6-8 hours I'd say. Honestly if I had all the parts from the get-go and the knowledge I gained about ripping out pop-rivets - it could've been done in 2-3 hours. You have to make some dremmel cuts in the sheet metal plate which was kind of annoying, but only takes a few minutes.

I know a guy who bought a CDL shifter that was missing the same bracket - he was able to get one for $25 in stock from his local Land Rover Dealer.

The dealer had it at a reasonable cost?!?! No way!

I emailed all the third party CDL kit places and no one could sell me the part separately, I should have called the dealer!!!
