Default firewall

I need to pass through some wiring from the brake pedal area to the front of the engine. Looking for a nice easy port in which I can slip this wire through to complete my task. Is there an easy access port (firewall) to perform this task vs. drilling a hole? If I do need to drill a hole, any advice for the safest area to do this? Length of bit? Type of bit?

Thanks,
Rob

I just glanced under my dash, and there's one pretty obvious place to go through.

EDIT: Hey, I just noticed my plenum filter laying there. THAT'S not helping anything...

That's the spot I always go through in both of mine. Easiest place by far. I'll usually stick a metal hanger through first and tape my cords to it, and they pull right through.

If you are putting in wires for a 10,000 watt bass amp - make sure they are FUSED in the engine compartment first.

Rapp that Rover..
Not.
Pitbull and snoop dog do not belong in the rover.

Anything that drowns out the tick from the engine is acceptable.

10-4 on that annoying tick! Good chuckle! Negative on the 1k bass amp. Towing my '03 disco behind my motorhome and with the aux. brake system, I need to install the accompanied breakaway cable; you know, in case the Landy gets too tired of pushing my 22,000 pound motorhome and decides to want to quit. Don't want the Rover to run away with its exhaust pipe tucked between its rear tires! ( my cheap attempt at dog humor.....you know....rover.....common name for a dog......tail between the dogs legs.....)

Thanks for .jpgs....now I have an action plan. I know where to run my cable!
