Just to get some clarification prior to starting the job - replacing plugs and wires.

Seems most people here go with the +4's, are they any better than the double platinum's AB offers (actually they offer both) - I can't decide. The Disco has NGK's in it now but I'm told those are not stock - changed by the PO, this is my first change. Still has stock wires (reason for change and might as well give them new plugs), 8mm Magnecor's on the way.


and to clarify - looking straight down at the engine - from the front (standing between the headlights, where you would be after raising the hood)

the cylinders are
Left, Right

8 7
6 5
4 3
2 1


and reaching straight over the engine from this position the order of the coil packs are

Bottom

2, 3, 4, 7

Top

8, 5, 6, 1

Also, right and left on a vehicle are always from the perspective of sitting in the driver's seat.
Front to back;
Left bank is 1 3 5 7
Right bank is 2 4 6 8
As seen above.

 

I'm guessing I did, you have an owners manual? The diagram I found conflicted itself.
