firing order help
I don't understand you. Are you talking about the coil or the cylinders? Is it's the engine, V8 gas engine firing order is pretty standard; cylinders 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2. Your description four on top and four on bottom is the coil pack.....? If it is the coil, the respective cylinder connections are
top
1 6 5 8
left 7 4 3 2 right
bottom
cylinders 1, 6, 7, 4 connect to the left coil pack
cylinders 5, 8, 3, 2 connect to the right coil pack.

George,
Do you have a check engine light, if so what are the fault code numbers?
Why don't you call me or send me your tele number and I'll call you.

Well I just ran out to check my 98, and it has the straight one-line coil pack not two. I don't know why you have a double rowed coil pack, maybe they changed that for the 99 DI. Can anyone who has a 99 DI verify this? Again, as Disco Mike has asked what exactly is the problem and when did it originate? Give Mike a call.
