Default Fixing electrical headers

I found a problem with my obd2 port. Water was getting in through the heater air intake and dripping out of the blower housing onto the mess of wires below causing them to corrode. The header regarding the obd port is header 286 and I also noticed header 287 was also in bad shape.

Anybody have suggestions on repairing the headers? Can I purchase new ones somewhere or should I just get fancy with a soldering iron?

Might not be able to purchase, might be able to get salvage, but changing all those wires would be time consuming, could be spliced color for color. If you are going to work on it suggest remove battery leads. Perhaps liberal use of contact cleaner and or brake parts cleaner and small wire brush. I have found some very small ones in gun cleaning kits at WalMart sporting goods dept, you might have to experiment.

Sounds like your condensate AC drain might be plugged up, or the dreaded sunroof drain.

Most header repair kits are no longer available. Trust me I have tried. The defender I repaired i just had to connect all the wires together. it wasn't quick but it had to be done. do a good job and make sure its not screwed up.

Condensate AC drains are clear. Checked that when I replaced the heater core.

Already fixed the sunroof drains too.

The water was coming in through the heater air intake because the long plastic piece on the bottom of the windshield was warped allowing water to just flow right down into the blower when it rained. The water then dripped on the wires and headers pooling in the headers and corroding the connectors to the point of failure.

The pins in header 286 look good but I suspect the connector ends are not. In header 287, there was a pin that was actually loose but the connectors seemed to be in good shape. If I can't get salvaged ones, I guess I'll have to solder them up.
