Post Flashing transmission lights

After engine install and some self induced issues the D2 runs great except I now Have the two green manual and sport trans mission lights flashing indicating limp home mode per the manual. During the test drive I had a cooler hose fail and pumped out some of the fluid. I serviced it and repaired the hose but now have this limp home issue. Will a hand held reader clear this fault? Manual says 40 warm up cycles will but that not good for the trans as it in third gear only per limp home mode.-----Neil

Is your truck actually in Limp Mode, driving only in 3rd gear?
If not, go get your voltage checked, should be between 13.6 to 14.4 volts, if not this will cause your lights to flash.

I'm assuming this is the case after reading the manual, It will not shift up or down and is sluggish. The current battery shot and will only start the truck with a boost. I dont have a reader (yet!) so the code at this point is a mistery. I'll get it started and check the voltage. Thanks for the info once again---------Neil
