Flexable connector from the air box to the fender
The flexible connector oval in shape that connects the air box to the fender on my 2004 Discovery is deteriorating. I cant seem to find them sold as an individual part. Can anyone tell me where to purchase one or have a suggestion on making a replacement.
check with Paul Grant. It'll be used but it'll also be available & cheap
I was in the same boat and the only options I had were go to a pull a part n try to get lucky, drop almost $400 from British parts of Utah on a new one or do a little redneck engineering. I got a can of black flex seal (I used the rustoleum brand) taped off the other part of it and sealed it up real well. Seems to work fine for me. I saw somebody posted they used a oil container. I will never get that high in water but better safe than sorry.
You can actually remove the flexible part from the entire assembly. I did that and sprayed it with clear flex seal and seems to have sealed it well. I'm gonna get the quart can in black from Walmart and brush it real good to make it looks better since it was starting to deteriorate and you could see the wire. Hopefully make it more pleasing to the eye. It won't be for a week or two till I do it. Going crazy at work and trying to keep the wife happy for Christmas without getting myself on the naughty list
