Default Fluids

Hey all, quick question, I am thinking my TC or diff is making noise so since I have only owned the 2001 for a bit I am going to start doing fluid changes. Question is, I cant afford to buy 6quarts of synthetic ATF and 7 of synthetic Gear oil at $12-$20 a quart, so I am wondering if it would be fine to use dino and swap it out in say 2-3 months with synthetic, almost like a flush. that way I can buy a quart here and there of the good stuff. thoughts? ty take care

Default Anyone?

I understand the conversation about any auto fluid can go on forever, I am asking a general question, let me rephrase it. I would like to know if our land rovers are picky about what they use? I am going to be using moto master brand non synthetic gear oil and atf and would love some input on whether that is a bad idea or not. I am using 0w-40 synth motor oil, Multi vehicle dexron III ATF, and 85-140 gear oil in diffs and transfer case.
please give some input as I want to start tomorrow. ty guys, respect your knowledge and would feel more comfortable with advice.

I run 75/90 gear oil.. no problems or strange noises. I run gm dex6 in the trans. No issues there besides the leaks it already has. None of those fluids are particularly expensive. 10/40 is in the engine.

Consensus seems to be 75/140 gear oil is better. I'll be using that next change.
