You might have a problem with the receiver (which is not easy to get to), or you could have simply lost synch between the remote and the computer. There is supposed to be a workaround, similar to using the EKA code, but I've never heard of it actually working. This is one of things that may be best handled by the dealer.

I'm sure someone else here will have an idea.

Thanks for the reply,I did get it working! All I have to do is put it right up to the driver side window and aim it at the dash board.I put a new battery in the fob to.But it works and im happy for now.

Glad to hear it's working. Interesting that you have to aim it at the dash in order for it to work. The receiver is located in front of the rear sunroof (or where it would be if there was a sunroof), under the headliner. There should be like a 30ft radius for the remote to work, so either the keyfob antenna is dislocated, or there is a problem with the receiver antenna.

Or the "new" battery had been sitting on the shelf for 8 years.

From my experience with remotes, either they have enough juice to work, or they don't. I don't remember ever seeing low voltage cause a shorter range. But I've never dealt with the LR remotes.
