I have a 1995 disco that will foul a set of plugs out in 5 min. A mechanic told me he was sure it was the mass air flow sensor, can i get a second opinion? What ever the problem it is running to rich to drive? any other ideas?

look at the plugs and see what they are getting fouled with. Is the rig throwing any codes?

They are getting flooded with gas, can't check codes because this models code window is broken.

led's are broken can't read it. Can the mass flow sensor cause the flooding is this a common problem? My mechanic says so.He says in 90 percent of the time this is the answer to the problem.

Find a mechanic that can plug into your OBD1 system and get the codes read.

Mike-he has said it twice now, he CANNOT read the trouble codes because the reader is broken.

If the MAF is sending a bad signal the ECU can overfuel the engine.
