Default Front Door Malfunction

My front door won't lock or open with pressing the key fob. It does however lock and open manually when I insert the key. What is wrong?

Default Actuator

I had the same issue. Just replaced the actuator today, fixed the issue

could do it an hour, make sure that you install the exterior handle connection correctly.

There's a really good step-by-step on YouTube, only the guy is replacing the passenger side. Here it is put thru a mirror flip site, which worked brilliantly for me when I replaced my driver's side: Mirror flip a YouTube video

The only caveat is that since he's doing the passenger side, he doesn't show how to do the handle linkage. But there's info out there on that piece.

Block out a few hours, take your time, and like the guy in the vid says, keep your parts organized, and you'll be fine.

Good luck.

I would order the heavy duty pin for the door lock while you have it apart.
