Front door part help
2004 Disco2. Front door, driver side...
The roll pin that holds the door catch in position fell out of my wife's car. Anyone know where I can find a replacement? Or, can I use some other sort of pin from the hardware store? This is not located on the hinges, but in between them, middle of the door. It is the part that catches the door and keeps it from swinging open all the way. I've attached a picture out of the RAVE manual for it. Just not sure about a part number or where to find it.
Thanks!

If you want the exact part for some reason:
Door Check Pin (Part # BDM100050L) - Land Rover body panels/fittings/trim exterior from Atlantic British
Land Rover Parts - Land Rover Parts Center - Call (800) 574-9217 for Genuine Land Rover Parts and Accessories
PIN DOOR CHECK ARM P38A, DISCOVERY II,DISCOVERY I,FREELAND, RNI420, BDM100050L - Land Rover Parts | Rovers North
But I'd think a hardware store roll pin should be fine.

Thanks guys! I was actually able to find the pin. It was hidden in the grass next to our driveway. I stuck it back in last night and all is good... for now. I'll have to keep an eye on it to see why it fell out. Only comes out from the top, no way for it to fall through the bottom of the hinge. If it comes out again, I'll go for a replacement. Thanks for the info, though. I'll keep it on hand for future reference.
