Default Front driveshaft rebuild kit?

I can't seem to find one. It's driving me nuts. I found universals but they're pretty pricy and I can't find a centering ball or bearing, whatever it's called. Does anyone know of a decent rebuild kit that's not super expensive?

Universals I found:

I just ordered a new front prop shaft for $280 with 5 greaseable parts and balanced. I've read the horror stories of rebuilding your own, mainly on swapping out the u-joints. I think the guy said he had around $100 in the parts for the rebuild. For me, another $180 was worth the 4 hours of time it takes and from what they stated, it was hell.

Well I'm already boatloads of money into this truck and I can't spend that much on a drive shaft that may or may not fail. I'll consider it I suppose, but I've rebuilt engines before and built plenty of rears and suspensions etc. so a little baby drive shaft doesn't really threaten me haha.

But just for my knowledge where did you buy yours from and is it quality that will not blow apart? If I can sell my factory one maybe it will be worth buying the new shaft.

I bought mine off ebay. It's a Pro Shaft. I can't speak for the quality though. I was going to order one from Lucky 8, their shaft with shipping is only $240 but they are 2-3 weeks out on them (out of stock).

Lucky 8 does have a heavy duty one in stock but the price jumps up to $380 and judging from this thread, you don't want to spend that much.

A bunch of people on this forum are running proshafts. There was quite the thread on this particular piece a while back. Suffice it to say, the shaft is made with quality parts and other than the occasional issue with incorrect bolts and/or nuts for attaching it to the flange, I haven't heard of any problems.

I'm sure the Luck 8 shafts are good just because many have recommended them on this forum. I was going to ask the same question the the core that I have sitting around. Does anybody buy them to rebuild?

So no one knows where to get the parts to rebuild a stock shaft? Are they not available individually anymore? I could only find a rebuild kit on a European site.
