front driveshaft replacement
Just Curious how much does it useally run to have a professional do it, with parts and labor. The reason I ask is because between 55 and 65 it starts to shake violently, now it is out of balance and the allignment is off, which i plan to have done on next weekend but could the front drive shaft becauseing that to do that?
Not the rotoflex huh? guess ill trytaking it to a driveshaft shop tomorrow for balancing. Can it be balanced while its off the truck?

I think okdiscoguy said he paid around 150 to get his done. I would assume it varies by location.
When i replaced my u-joints i was very close to failure, and my truck didnt shake violently, mine just occasionally sqeaked, with some vibration. You might not want to drive it till you get it checked out.

Before spending the money on balancing, I would still go through the process of replacing the joints. Are you sure that some of the needle rollers have not actually fallen out during installation? It may be a silly questions, but when I did mine, I actually had to buey one extra cross bearing to replace one I messed up. It seems odd that the driveshaft would just go out of the ballance, unless it has been bent or damaged otherwise. [sm=smiley23.gif]
