Front end steering "joints"
I think I'll be replacing the tire rod joints, and upper and lowers as well. Is there any hick ups or non typical issues I'll run into? Do i need a ball joint puller?
1) are you asking about ball joint or tie rods ends? i think you are...
2) yeah, the 03-04 tie rod /link ends have a different sized taper (the threaded end is the same) than the earlier years. make sure the ones you get seat all the way!
3) separating ball joints from carrier hub can be VERY daunting without the right tools. You need a heavy duty separator and maybe a torch. maybe you will get lucky and they will pop apart with a pickle fork....but that has not been my experience ever...especially the lower ball joints....
4) and get a new set of axle seals and hub sensors while you are in there....

the upper and lower ball joints look easy enough but watching a few vids, looks like everyone struggles.
