Hey. my front interior light won't work on the "ON POSITION". the bulb is fine, It works perfect with the doors "switch in mid position".
I disassembled it, found a bit of grease beneath the switch on the metal part and cleaned it. Yet it didn't fix the issue.
any help would be appreciated.

 

Make sure the ground is connected. If it isn't the switch will act all sorts of funky

you are right. its supposed to connect to the metal mounting bracket. but I can't find the ground connecter anywhere. I'm guessing the previous owner used it for the sunroof maybe?

the only ground I found is connected to the sunroof

 

I'll have to double check one of my parts trucks when I get a chance tomorrow but I don't remember the ground looking like the one on your sunroof. I think was just a naked blade connector. Been a while since I had one apart but I'll look when I get a chance for ya.
