So I have a problem with my sunroofs. The front will open but won’t close. The back sunroof works perfectly. I have replaced motors in both and cleaned them so I don’t believe it’s the motors.

i even put in different sunroofs in case it was the tracks. Basically I have replaced everything. Both motors run but for some reason the front sunroof still won’t close. When hitting the button the ecu clicks so I know it receiving the signal.

I have research everything and don’t know what to do. Any help?

 

Connectors are at corrosion risk from the rain roofs leaking. Today I placed in my garbage can two sunroofs as I deleted the pieces of crap. One had a brittle plastic guide falling apart by itself. The drain hoses perfect but connect to crappy plastic ****** pieces, and the torx screws under the tray dripping by their gasket washers !
If you need some used components, are free to you but still you have to feed the robbers at the postal office for shipping.

Apply 12V at the proper terminals and polarity of the motor connector or at its actuating switch to discern wiring failure or action impaired by something broken. Schematic is at rave.

LandRover will not pay for the premature damages of my rotten moldy ceiling, carpet, seats, rust on a very expensive vehicle. They want my wallet. So no rainroofs any more.

 

well if you have swapped motors front to rear you have a few choices:
1. Swap sunroof cartridges (rails and wires) front to rear
2. Swap in a diffferent ECU
3. Repin the plugs on the ECU plugs so the front sunroof wires are where the rear are and vice versa.
