Fuel filter
OK, I have a 1997 Disco with 162,000 smiles on the clock. Now here is the problem...I cannot remove the fuel filter. It is rusted so bad that it will not come loose.
Now I am talking about the fuel line fittings. I have sprayed carb cleaner, penatrating oil, any thing that I could soak the fittings with.
I have been spraying and wrenching for over a week and still no luck. I dont want to bung up the "nuts" on the ends of the filter or and the fuel line.
Any suggestions? Is it time to break out the cutting torch? (thats a joke people)
I dont want to burn up the fuel pump but I also dont want to pay $12,000 to have it done.
Thanks guys.

You can get some used fuel lines at roverlandparts or something like that. Not sure where you are at, but there is also a salvage in OKC. If you can't get them off, just get new (used) lines...
No other suggestions, sorry. Good Luck!

For the price and hassle of replacing the fuel lines I could have the filter replaced some where dont you think?
I had thought about cutting it and then replacing the piece that I cut out. But I am worried about a leak.
