fuel level missing

fuel level missing
So I checked my fuel pump to see if the fuel level was stuck, and when I pulled it out I noticed that there was no level. The question is can you buy just the level or do I have to buy the whole pump?

It might be in the bottom of the tank. When I replaced one on my D1, the new pump had a very poor fitting float, and it fell off the first time I went around a corner. I took the plastic pieces of the sending unit off the old pump and put them on the new one, with the new electronics.
