Default Fuel Line Question

Can anyone tell me the size of the metal fuel line that feeds into the filter. The filter connections are very rusty and refuse to budge. The mount is completly rusted away. At this point I plan to put some compression fittings on to get the car moving. I have to figure out a way to make this vehicle run before my neighbors freek out and I don't have time/money/space to buy the Land Rover line and run it.

Are you going to replace the whole line or just the filter and fittings?

I bought the fuel filter kit from www.atlanticbritish.com and I cut the nuts off the filter.
I cut them front to back and then split them open.
Now I replace my fuel filter once a year so that I no longer have that problem.
