Are you throwing any codes? I had this issue when my truck was parked. It only got ran about once every couple of weeks and I didn't have any O2 sensors installed (no exhaust, only headers).

Bad O2 sensors might be making it run rich enough to wash the cylinder walls and get into the oil. I also second checking your injectors. Sometimes they'll throw an injector code. I think these are the two most likely options.

These things usually tick for one reason or another anyway, but if there's gas in the oil, that gas is washing all the oil off of cylinders, bearings and the entire engine.
Which means little to no lubrication, and can ruin an otherwise good engine.
This^^^

Stop driving it until you figure out how/when fuel is getting into crankcase, and change oil and filter now. Fuel is not something you want in your crankcase. If it is that abundant, now, that could be what is leading to the "tick". Poor oil pressure, since thinner oil makes it hard for the pump to create pressure.

Do a quick check with a vacuum gauge (look for good vacuum reading and steady needle), pull plugs and inspect (marking location), and do a compression check. And have the codes read.

Good luck,

Brian.

Care to tell us exactly what's wrong? Both for our own curiosity and for future readers?

20 psi compression on cylinder 2(fuel soaked plug)Pulled the oil pan and there were metal chunks in panI'm not sure to the culprit yet but I'll try to post my findings once I pull the motor (hopefully this weekend)
