Default Gasket comparison

Hey - just a newbie here - and to rovers in general - is there much difference in gaskets between 2000 and 2004 Discoverys? Are they equally susceptible to failure or did Land Rover improve the design to make them better, perhaps less sensitive?

Not sure about them being the same or not, both the 2004 seem to be as problematic as the earlier years as far as leaks.

Can't use a 4.0 head set on a 4.6, other wise the gaskets are the same material and design and all are prone to being replaced once in the trucks lifetime.

Have the gasket materials been changed since they discontinued the Discoveries? I am having my head gaskets replaced today and wonder why the head gaskets will only need replaced once in the life of the truck.
