Gauge Cluster Plastic..Broken..repair ideas?
So I'm sure many of you have the same broken gauge cluster surrounds like myself.
I've looked around on ebay and most of the idiots selling them are trying to get 65 dollars for BROKEN ones!
So what about one made with stamped aluminum? Or any ideas on repairing them?

I am missing a small part on the back side. I was thinking of trying to use epoxy and old wiper metal pieces to reinforce the epoxy.
I've done that on another car and its held for a year.

I've used Loctite Plastic epoxy to repair plastic with great results. You can use fiberglass cloth as needed to provide additional strength. I used it to patch a cracked nylon charge air pipe off a turbo running at 15 psi and it has held up great. If the cracks extend through the surround and are visible, you can grind out the crack a little after you glue up the back side, fill it with some bondo, sand it smooth and then repaint it.
I have used RapidFix i the past, a sort of super glue with a powder to reinforce it, Has worked well for many projects but not for everything. It is quite stiff when it hardens and doesn't allow much flex. might be worth a try!
