Default gear oil weight

Just curious as to what weight gear oil everyone uses in their disco? The manual and Rave CD recommend 75w90 synthetic oil, so this is what I just put in both diffs and t-case. I like to change out the diffs every 30k, first time I've done the t-case.

I have 85W140 in everything, but I have 150K on the ticker. She seems to like it. Royal purple, just in case you wondered....

okdiscoguy, I've heard good things about their products and you sure seem to stand by them. For what it's worth, I just can't put purple s**t in my truck Kidding of course, might try it some day. Until now, mobile 1 and castrol oils have been my go-to.

oh no, I understand completely. If the stuff wasn't good, I wouldn't use it. The founder helped create(a top name synthetic whose name shall not be divulged due to legal matters)a loooong time ago. He decided he wanted to do better. Then the marketing guys got ahold of it. I really don't like that it is purple, and I can order it without the dye in bulk. Some people love the stuff but won't buy it dyed. (the dye makes no difference at all, turns black after use)

Mobile 1 and Castrol are both good oils.
