Maybe this is the one...depends how you look at it. The next one i buy....."Jesus" listen to me ....the next one...like i need a another *******... Anyway, I would look for the perfect shell... but with a blown engine... get a used motor , rebuild the top end, oil pump, go over tranny and transfer box, and then drop it in. That way i have a sealed driveline , i know i have a good chance for slipping by with no major suprise expense and headache... So , I would assume about 10k for something that will last a good while. The problem then lies when you have a good running truck you tend to want to fix it up for offroad and then theres another 10k....ouch...so you are in for 20k. Or, pickup a LR3 for 15k put tires,roofrack, Johnson Rods and a Rooftop tent and enjoy the f$cking thing instead of worring about how to keep a Disco running..
