Default To get a donor d2?

I'm in the middle of replacing the oil pump in mine. Hard knocks before shut down but no metal in the pan so I'm moving forward. Mine is an 02. I did the head gasket about 2000 miles ago and it looks like it might still have a leak. Anyway, I found a donor, 00 d2 with 100k miles on it for nothing. Needs head gasket. I'm thinking of grabbing it and robbing the heated seats and tcase for the Cdl. Might as well grab the tranny and engine too? I figure I can rebuild the donor engine for when mine finally dies. Thoughts?

If it is less than $1500, go for it.

Dido, if you can score it "cheap"- go for it.

Your '02 came with heating elements in the seats, all you need are the driver, passenger switchs and bezel.

I had no idea there were already elements. Thanks! Is there a diagram for the wiring somewhere? I assume it's all there except for the switches and bezel, just plug and play.

Wiring diagrams are in the RAVE.

There's also a supplemental electrical circuits reference that you can download (I don't have a link, but google is your friend).

Correct. 100% plug and play. The switch receptacles are there sitting next to the window switches, just waiting for you.

Just get the heater switches on eBay with the switch plate cover that has two extra spots. The plugs only go one way.

That Disco sounds good for 12-1500.

I've bought one for close to that. Thousands in parts on a rover like that. You just have to have a place to put them.
