Default Getting back door panel off.

I'm looking to turn my spare wheel bracket over. That's the way to get the oversize tire to fit on there, right?

After realising the nuts arnt captive on the back of the door (curse), I snapped two out of three of the little plastic studs holding the interior panel on. So stopped.

Wasn't using a panel popper, but was being very careful with a big screwdriver.

Is it the cold? Fragile. Is there a technique I'm missing? Are they expendable? Like Rambo in Rambo II.

It's probably the cold, but honestly those things just always break. I usually end up with 3 or so broken each time I take a panel off, even with a panel popper

Seems after a cup of tea I got a better break/not break ratio. Broke 4 in total. Not bad out of the 12 or so it needed to get access to the nuts. Panel went back on just fine.

Had to hack a bit out of the bracket for the rear wiper arm. Guessing that's normal?

Looks nice.

Yes, hacking a piece out of the mount for the rear wiper is normal.

a good source for the push clips is

BTW, do those wheels rub? Look pretty big and you don't seem to have a lift.

Yes, well they used to. I had to 'adjust' things slightly. Mainly remove the front flap part of my running board, and trim the back of the plastic bumper. They were fine, till I turned the wheels.

When I hit a decent bump the rear sometimes catches. But that is all now.

A lift is looking inevitable.
