GlowShift Oil Filter Sandwich Adapter and MANN 950/4
Incase anyone is interested in knowing, the MANN 950/4 filters WILL fit on top of a GlowShift Oil Pressure Gauge Sandwich Adapter. I have an aired cooled system so no easy plugs to convert for use.
My Readings with Rotella 15w40 are:
Cold: 45 PSI at Idle 52 PSI 2000 RPM
Hot: 28 PSI at Idle 52 PSI 2000 RPM
Are these normal readings?
Obviously not done, wires just hanging for testing.

The lower end knock is gone, it was the main bearings. In the process I did the rod bearings, timing chain, & oil pump. In searching some more I see these oil PSI number seem to be good for a disco 2.
Next I'm doing the camshaft, lifters, rocker arms and shafts. That should take care of the upper diesel sounding tick. Getting closer to a full rebuild.

Understood. I did pin cylinder #1 while changing the main bearings as it was suspect. But the tick is right at cold start up. It's not bad, but I bought the truck as a project and planed to do as much of a rebuild as I can so it's all on the list anyway
