It seems to be a closed system from the pics I've seen, and it seems I could just leave the leaking tbh gasket in place if I did the bypass, but trying to arrange the ordering of parts and hoping for some guidance.
When I do a TBH delete the entire POS gets tossed in the trash. No reason to keep it at all because if you were to replace it you'll get an entire new housing/gasket/bolts. Some people just put a bolt in the existing hoses and leave everything else where it is. I prefer to route intake hose to reservoir and remove the entire TBH housing. Makes it look much cleaner and OEM.
