Default good stock cam for a 4.6 ?...

...or very mild upgrade. Don't know if my cam is worn, but just thinking about options if I find mine worn when the engine is apart(118,000,runs great, usual noises,RH head gasket leak to outside reason for repair...) thinking about checking the timing chain and oil pump too. found some new cams made in England and I suppose some of the US cam companies have some offerings for this engine. 2003.

i went with a Crower Level 2 Camshaft when i did mine in my '04. noticeable difference in throttle response.

if you're already in there i would definitely upgrade the cam.

My Turner short lock came with the HP180 Sportstorque Cam from Kent Cams. I love it. Idles fine, and is noticably better.
