Default Good times at the auto parts store

After having a mechanic confirm that I have a bad u-joint yesterday I headed over to Advance to get new u-joints. I walked around and looked at all the stuff I really don't need until someone at the counter was available to help me. As I walked the guy asked what I needed and I told him a u-joint. Of course he responded by asking what it was for. I told him the computer doesn't list it and gave him the part number which he went and grabbed the 3 they had in stock. When he came back I told him it was for my Land Rover and he asked if he could look it up anyway to see. So I gave him the information and to his surprise it wasn't there. He jokingly said he was going to email corporate about it not being in the computer (I actually hope he does). I think he was a little embarrassed that I had to give him the part number.

I went into Advanced Auto and the asked me what I needed when I walked in the door. I said White Shepards and he laughed and said "never heard of it we don't have it". So I walked to the shelf and found it and the guy looked embarrassed. The guys at the local Napa are very knowledgeable and helpful but at Advanced Auto or Autozone I would rather help myself. I need to wear a shirt that says "No thank you I do not need any STP fuel injector cleaners or a tire gauge". They try to sell me one every time i go in.

I much prefer NAPA because they are more knowledgeable but damn they are priced so much more.
And their hours suck, they are open 9-noon Mon-Fri and 9-9:15 on Sat. it seems.

When I looked up the u-joints online Napa was twice as expensive as Advance and just as far away from me.
