Default Got a junked rover for free

Looking for some advice... I got a partially stripped 01 Land Rover Discovery for free. BUT not sure if there will be enough things to pick off to make it worth while. I have attached some pictures, but they don't show the whole picture. The previous owner junked it becasuse the engine block done (no heads, no upper engine, driveshafts gone, interior is picked clean), but I needed the ECU / BCU and some of the drive train (differentials, transmission, transfer case).

Looking to see if there are any parts that I SHOULD TAKE and does anyone want anything? Also looking for recommendations on how to get rid of the remaining bits of Rover

Thank you for your time and help

Yes, definitely either sell the whole y-pipe to someone or chop the cats and take them to a recycler. Also, those are a pretty rare set of rims and a really nice set of tires. I'd keep them or sell them one or the other. Man what I'd do to have a set just to have...

Oh, and the SAI pump if it has one. And if it doesn't, I'd love to swap you the non-sai computers for a set of SAI computers and even a good SAI pump.

the headlights generally sell easily along with the tail lights and fog lights. The rims on that one are rarely seen as well some love them.

Depending on price I might be interested in that passenger side head light.

I would be interested in a 2001 radio if it is the Hi-line. Rumor has it that will make my cruise control work again.

In addition to what others have highlighted here are a few other bits and pieces you might want to strip, depending on how much storage room you have.
  • Alternator
  • Fuel filler door latch
  • XYZ switch
  • MAF
  • Side repeater lamps
  • Radiator (maybe not as good as a new one but it could get you by in a pinch or as your truck nears the end of its useful life)
  • Front seat cushions (if yours aren't torn in the perforation they will be someday)
  • Air box (if the clips on yours aren't broken they may be someday)
As for getting rid of the carcass any local scrap dealer will probably come to you and haul away the frame and body, even without wheels, and pay you for the privilege.

Pull the diffs as they are worth spares for rebuilds.

The wheel rims look aftermarket not LR OEM, tires look OK though.
