Got more leaks then a...
nevermind, This is probably normal for a Land Rover
Anyways, I purchased my 98 Land Rover discovery from Phoenix, Arizona. Which is a very hot, dry place. And for a year now ive had it in colorado, What im getting at is that i like to play in the mud and waterholes with my rover... And now through what everyone is telling me, All the leaks i have is from going to a dry to wet climate. All the seals dried up and then got wet and lose... i have a power steering leak, A rear main leak, possibly a valve cover leak, honestly... Its a mess under there. Leaks everywhere! there is even a leak that leaks down on my passenger side front tire. the inside of my wheel has probably a good quarter of a quart...
Apperently a rear main leak is normal... That cant be true!
Is the cilmate thing valid!? Also just for the record. Please specify how important it is for the 60K to be done. So i can show my uncle this thread.
Thanks guys!

No leaks are not normal. Leaking Discoveries, well not normal but common. Tighten down your rocker cover bolts. The rear main leak try a high mileage or 10w30 or 10w40 oil or put in some white shepherds Oil stop leak or rear main stop leak. For the power steering pump try to find if it is leaking from the pump or a hose/clamp. Try some Lucas PS stop leak. For the wheel leak, is it gear oil or brake fluid?

i already use 10w-40 i think i might switch to rotella, What size bolts on the rocker cover? do i need to remove anything besides the air intake? it looks like it is leaking from the connection to the bottom of the pump. and im not sure but probably brake if i had to guess because my wheel hubs needs repacked.
These pumps leak out the center paper gasket, pretty common and needs a new or used pump. If it is the high pressure line there is an o'ring in there you can replace. On your wheels, smell the fluid, gear oil is pretty unmistakable smelling and if so yes repack your bearings and replace the seals. If it is brake fluid that would be coming from your bleeder valves probably.
Not sure on a D1 what size the bolts are.

Do not put ps additive in a D1, the fluid is ATF, not ps fluid. If you put ps fluid in it, you will really start to leak> If your hoses are leaking, try taking off the factory clamps and putting on regular worm-type clamps.
