Default Got New Shocks (Monroes) on my 94 Disco

Well I finally got my new shocks installed today.
Back History is that I discovered one of my factory shocks was broken so I went to the Pep Boys Black Friday sale and ordered up a set of Monroe Sensatracs.

Listen to this got them for $34.00 each installed FREE!!!
So $140+/- for all 4 Installed and today was the day for the installation.

Truck drives awesome now Feel like I got a great deal.
Love the truck....

They are not Emu's but they are not all that money either LOL!

Bring on MOAB Now baby!

yeah, always nice to get new stuff. I need shocks, and with the age, a set of springs would be nice as well. I have enough for a set of Bilsteins, but am trying to hold out for the OME spring/shock combo.

You might look into an OME steering stabilizer. Makes a difference.

I like Bilstein's but they are 1/2 " shorter the the OME's and you can get into some over extension issues with the rear shocks wit a little too much lift.
I agree with you, the OME steering stabilizer is a must.

Where is the best aka cheapest place to buy the OME LOL!
I can get woodhall for $21 at my cost which is normally $75

How do they compare I think Woodhall is the OEM supplier?

Thanks

With Rovers you get what you pay for, $21 buy you a paper weight. There are only 2 brands of shocks that are worth using on a Discovery, Old Man Emu, or Bilstein. If you are looking for cheap, keep your old warn out factory shocks, any body on any Rover forum will tell you that.
Factory shocks will start showing there age at 40,000 miles plus, same for the suspension, at 40,000 miles your truck will have settled by about an inch to and inch and a half depending on the type of driving you do. They are heavy trucks and need better replacement suspension parts.
Good luck

The stabilizer I mentioned @ $21. is List at $71.00

It is made by woodhall (Think I got that right) and is the OEM Manufacturer I believe
I am kind of looking for cheap because I purchased this Rover for $1475.00 with 158,000 on it.

(So far I have about $2200 in it and climbing as I fix away.

Help from the forum and Mike is Priceless
I am grateful
