Default Got the new tires. Went up a size, so far, so good.

I had asked back a few times about tire sizes and what I could do, so thanks to all that helped out with the questions. Decided to go with a good on and off road mixed tire. I wanted decent on road, but good also decent off road and good in the snow (this is a ski/mountain bike/kayak rig for me, plus hopefully some trails too).
Went with the Yokohama Geolander AT/S in 265/60/18. The guys at the tire shop were convinced it would not fit or it would rub bad just holding it up to the other rim. I had them proceed, and there is zero rubbing even at full lock or over big dips and hard corners (does have the ACE system). Overall, aggressive look, nice wet traction, very quiet and the speedo is dead on (It used to be a bit fast compared to GPS). So, just a thumbs up so far on fitment, style and for sure price. We will see how they go from here!

actually here are the approximate dimensional differences...

Stock tire 255/55 r18
Sidewall: 5.5 in
Radius: 14.5 in
Diameter: 29.0 in
Circumference: 91.2 in
Revs/mile:694.0

New tire 265/60 r18
Sidewall: 6.3 in
Radius: 15.3 in
Diameter: 30.5 in
Circumference: 95.9 in
Revs/mile:661.0

Speedometer reading with non-stock tire is 5.1% too slow.
When your speedo reads 60 mph, you are actually traveling 63.1 mph.

Funny enough, I was planning on it being off but it is dead on now! GPS speed is dead on the speedo, as is the speed limit sign that also shows speed. But, it was a few fast previously so worked to my advantage!
