Hey Lawndart!
Tell me more (all that you care to share) about your GPR engine.
-did you have GPR do it at their shop in OK or did you have it shipped to you?
-self install or done by an indy?
-4.0 or 4.6, notice more hp?
-green coolant or dexcool
-what kind of oil are you running to break it in (first 500mi and after)?
-did your old block have a crack/dropped liner?
-what else did you change out of your d2 when you did it?
No amout of info is too much!

I had my truck sent to GPR. They removed the engine (4.6), did their thing and re-installed. Mike drove it during break-in and changed the oil. I picked up the truck after that.
I had already flushed the system and installed the green - Mike returned it that way.
I am using Shell Rotella and just changed the oil as I hit 3k since Mike changed the oil.
Originally, the oil pump broke and took out the timing chain.
All the drama here.

has all the symptoms of a dropped liner/cracked block. I foolishly attempted to bandage the bullet wound by listening to the dealer and having them run K&W ceramic block sealant through the coolant system. I did get 6k mi out of the truck by doing so but the issue of course reared its head again

I am one of them and I stand behind the best decision that can be made for a engine swap for these trucks. If you or anyone else is contemplating a motor swap and want more intelligent info please feel free to email me directly at dfrankel3508@comcast.net
